Board Member

LaKesha is an educator and currently teaches Business and Technology at a Williston Middle High School where she equips students with real-world skills in communication, data analysis, and workplace readiness. Beyond the classroom, LaKesha is the co-founder and Treasurer of the Gainesville Wildcats, a nonprofit youth sports organization dedicated to mentoring young athletes and strengthening community connections through discipline, teamwork, and academic accountability. As a proud mother of three, it shapes her passion for youth development and educational opportunity.

Before transitioning into education, LaKesha built a 15-year career as an internal consultant with hospital systems leading teams to streamline operations, improve efficiencies, and help leadership teams make strategic, data-informed decisions. Her professional foundation is complemented by honorable military service as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army, where she served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

LaKesha holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University in Health Care Administration and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. She brings to every organization she serves a results-driven mindset, a commitment to community impact, and a proven ability to lead with both strategy and heart.
